First Impressions
❦ Visual
In a divine audience or to present herself to a crowd Astarte wears a closed cloth of gold robe and a multi-faceted mask of red crystal. In private she wears a silky outer robe over a satin bikini, with white sandals or slippers like this but in white.
Astarte inhabits a stunningly beautiful human woman as a host and likes to display her host body to distract. Slender, with clear blue eyes and golden hair, Astarte looks every inch the goddess she pretends to be.
Her eyes will sometimes glow white when angered or wishing to intimidate.
❦ Aural
Astarte nearly always speaks using her host's voice. She'll only drop into the deep bass Goa'uld voice when angered or dealing with other Goa'uld. In public audiences and to strangers she will speak using the Royal plural, in private and with other Goa'uld using the singular.
❦ Olfactory
She nearly wears expensive perfumes. Underneath that there's something much more potent; her pheromones. The scent is usually subtle unless she's delivering a high dose, but it's cloying and like the breath of life-inhaling it will leave those exposed craving more.
❦ Demeanour
Astarte is callous calculating, but she hides it behind a benign smile and a mask of kindness and generosity. On being presented to her she will expect others to at least kneel or fully prostrate themselves, and speak when spoken to and not before, as is fitting for a goddess.
She likes to entice others and manipulate them and takes great pleasure in twisting others to her will. Should this fail though she's capable of being just as sadistic as other Goa'uld and indeed is happy to torture those she deems of no further use to her plans.
❦ Accessories
A silver gauntlet-the Kara'kesh is always wound about her right hand. Additionally she bears a bracelet studded with gems on her left arm (a personal cloaking device), a ring of black onyx on her left hand (actually a concealed Zatarc weapon) and a silver disc with a large orange gemstone in the centre suspended from her bra by fine silver chains over her navel.
❦ Pheromones Y/N?
Astarte is capable of producing potent pheromones which have the effect of inducing feelings of lust and devotion toward her, making anyone exposed to theme extremely pliable to her will. They wear off after a certain time, depending on how strong willed a person is, usually leaving a gap in memory for the time when the person is under her control.
❦ Jaffa Y/N?
The good: Becoming a Jaffa guarantees you a lifespan of at least 150 years, perfect health, enhanced healing and increased strength and endurance.
The bad: A Jaffa has an X-shaped pouch in their abdomen housing the larval form of Astarte's snake-like offspring. It acts as the immune system and if removed leads to instant weakness and death in a matter of hours. After around a decade the larva will mature, take a host (the Jaffa if a host isn't found) and a new one will be needed to replace it.
❦ Host Y/N?
A good opportunity to play an evil version of your character! Goa'uld worm their way into the human body, coiling around the spine and brain stem and taking total control of their host. Astarte will often have a mature Goa'uld offspring ready to take a host to hand, perhaps to infiltrate her enemies or merely because Goa'uld require hosts it could be your character?
In Character
❦ Hugging this character: Only touch the divine person with permission or your character will lose their arms.
❦ Kissing this character: It's customary to let a goddess kiss first.
❦ Flirting with this character: Yesss she lives for this.
❦ Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Go ahead, she heals fast!
❦ Killing this character: Ask first, but she has a sarcophagus which can reverse death, handy huh?
❦ Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: No problem! Telepaths might pick up on the remnants of her host's mind, other than that Astarte's mind is a dark place full of many crimes including multiple genocides spread over many millennia.
